Esplanade plays as an uphill par 4 that takes players along the firth for the length of the hole. The largest concern on the tee is that the entire length of the left side is out-of-bounds. Add western winds here, and the tee shot can be quite dangerous.
Because of the elevated green, most players will need healthy strike off the tee. The green will slope back-right to front-left, and there is a bunker front-right of the green, so staying on the left side of the fairway is ideal.
The approach should be straight-forward: get the ball on the green, ideally below the hole. This is definitely a hole that players can attack.
