Hole 15 Discussion

The 15th continues along Lake Merced. Here the primary concern with the tee shot is the large fairway bunker in line with the fairway. The tee shot is downhill, so this bunker will be in play for most. The dogleg will complicate attempts to drive the ball past this bunker.

The approach shot here is challenging. The bunker on the right may complicate the shot for a couple reasons. First, if the wind is in play, it should push shots toward the bunker. Second, right-handed players may have the ball above their feet, which may also bring the bunker into play.

The green here is large and sloping. It certainly does not lend itself to trivial two putts.
