The sixth is a classic risk-reward hole that allows players to test themselves with a risky carry over a lateral hazard. The safest tee shot is to the island of fairway short of the inlet. The far edge of this bit of fairway slopes back-to-front, and should be fairly safe even if the ball has a bit too much energy on it.
The risky shot is to swing for the fences and carry the water. Playing it here will allow longer hitters to reach the green in two, but many players able to carry the water will still need to lay up, so plan accordingly.
Once on the further section of the fairway, players can use the large tree in the distance as a landmark, with the green to it’s left.
The green slopes right-to-left, so players will likely want to guide their ball below the hole using this slope.
The right arm of the lake extends across most of the fairway. It is best to lay up to the right. Second shot for most should favor the left center and be played short of the carry rough in front of the green. Uphill third shot to [the long] narrow green.
