The 8th hole doesn’t look like a dogleg left, but it feels like one. The fairway slopes left-to-right nearly the whole way to the green, save for a landing area along a ridge in the fairway about 150 yards from the green. If you’re short of this ridge, you’ll likely have a blind shot into the green. If you go over, you’ll likely roll down to the trees on the right side.
Be aware that the approach for right-handers, if the ball is below your feet, will tend to lean toward the expansive bunker on the right side. Most approach shots will be over a valley short of the green, so it can be challenging from almost anywhere.
