The 16th is defined by the pronounced fairway bunker in the middle of the landing area. The hole plays uphill the entire way, so the distances understate the challenge here. The safe tee shot here is to the left, but that adds distance. Play to the right, or over the bunker and you’ll likely be rewarded, but the risk of ending up in the sand is much higher.
The approach to the elevated green strongly depends on where the flagstick is. Anything on the right side will require carrying the bunker to get close. Running it up to the left side will be a much safer play for many.
