Hole 7 plays shorter than its yardage due to the elevation of its tees. This hole leaves very little room for error; the green is partially obscured on the right by the tree line, guarded on the left by a pond, and an overhit ball will either go OB or carom unpredictably off of a nearby rock face.
The green is aggressively sloped towards the tees, and the pin tends to be placed low; weight control is arguably more important here than on any other green on the course.
