Hole 16 Discussion

A shorter par 4, with plenty of water trouble before, right, and through the fairway long. The pond next to 15 green is actually part of the lake on 16 that dominates the right side of the fairway and is fed by a creek that traverses the hole from left of the green to in front of it, traveling diagonally to shorten the right side of the fairway significantly where it juts into the lake. Long hitters will be required to hit less than driver, even if they hug the treeline on the left side’s hill. Luckily, a very long iron or fairway wood/hybrid will still leave a manageable approach shot over the creek. The fairway on the left side slopes towards the center, and the fairway descends towards the water as it ends substantially longer left than right.
The green is significantly sloped back-to-front and right-to-left. Two bunkers line the green’s right side and back-right, forcing a delicate shot to properly escape to most pins. An approach shot below the hole is almost rewarded, but expect a sweeping putt from almost all angles.
