Hole 9 Discussion

The ninth is a long par 5 that can be quite narrow at times. The tee shot plays downhill and the distance to the turn is quite far (the turn is about 275 yards from the green). There is a grass bunker short-right that will severely punish anyone who mishits their drive off the tee.

The second shot is a semi-blind, uphill shot over a ridge up to a landing area beyond. Playing short of the bunkers still leaves a very reasonable shot into the green, but getting over them should leave a much easier shot. Ending up in one of the bunkers is disaster and the fairway is only 15 yards wide between them, so players need to be very deliberate in their choice of landing area.

The green is back-to-front, and should welcome most shots. The bunkers left and right are trouble, but players can roll up to the green easily enough from distance.

The halfway house is just off the ninth green and features some Wisconsin classics.
