Hole 3 Discussion

The third hole is a short par 3 that typically offers a chance at birdie. The shot plays over three large bunkers, but for most players none of these bunkers should be in play, and they are well short of the green. Players should note the ocean winds, which should be pushing the ball left-to-right.

While the hole my seem very straight-forward, players should be extremely wary of any back pin positions. The worst position to be is beyond the green, and the wind tends to be slightly helping. Attacking a back pin and slightly misjudging the distance can leave one with an impossible wedge or bunker shot back to the green, which will roll out well beyond the hole.
