Hole 9 Discussion

Hole number nine is a straight away par four with a tee shot that will play uphill. There is a pond between the tee boxes and the fairway, but it will not be in play for experienced players. The preferred miss is to the left, as there is a hill running along the left side that will funnel balls flying slightly off-course back into the fairway. Your approach shot will require accuracy to a green that slopes from back to front complemented by a deep front right-side bunker. Like the tee shot, the best miss is left, as the land will funnel balls into a low area just short of the green that leaves a simple uphill chip, while the land on the right slopes off significantly, so any players not finding the bunker will have a long and completely blind chip back up to the green, or a lost ball penalty.
