Built in 2001, Hawks Landing Golf Club is a Parkland/Faux Heathland golf course located 15 minutes from downtown Madison. The club’s signature 9th hole, rumored to be the hardest in Dane County, is within 150 yards of University Ridge’s 16th fairway.

With very wide fairways and relatively few trees, the course’s main defense is both it’s length and the strategic placement of hazards. The fairways frequently narrow about 240-280 yards from the Golds, so longer hitting players will likely want to play from the Blacks (6,788 yards) or the Maroons (7,243 yards).

The front nine of the course is fairly hilly and is considered more difficult than the back nine.
