Hole 3 is the hardest hole on the course, at least on paper. It's a long par 5 that will be difficult to reach for all but the longest hitters, as it can play 550 yards from the tips. The ideal shot shape off the tee will vary based on whether the tees are on the lower box or the elevated box. On the lower box, you'll need to shape your shot more left to right, versus the straighter tee shot from the elevated box. Beware a slice off the lower tee box into the stand of fir trees on the right. The berms on the left can punish a pull or hook, so avoiding the big miss to the left is a must. Being in the trees on the right isn't ideal either, but a recovery is more straightforward. A pro tip is that if you miss way to the right and are in the trees, it's easier to punch out and run the ball down the 16th fairway; if you can put the ball near the beginning of the 16th fairway, you'll have a clean look at the green from about 140 out. The green itself doesn't really have any tricks, aside from avoiding the bunkers that protect it left, back, and right; the left bunker is by far the worst of the three, so avoid it at all costs. Put your drive in the fairway and keep your nose clean on the approach, and you can walk away with a net birdie pretty easily.
