The eighth is an extremely short par 4. Most players should be able to reach the green if there isn’t a head wind, but playing to the green here is not without risk. Any miss left going for the green will be in the water, and any miss right might end up lost in the long grass. There is a low point just in front and undulation in the green that threaten to roll any shot off that even reaches the it right back off. The gamble of going for it has risk for each shot shape. The standard draw should preform better in the prevailing headwind, but risks overdrawing into the pond. The standard fade will be unpredictable in any headwind, but should end up safe, but short.
Players playing in two have a much simpler task. I simple short-iron to the desired angle at the pin, and then a wedge in.
The green itself basically slopes away in every direction. There are five distinct areas, each funneling gently away from the center.
