Hole 1 Discussion

The first hole is quite strategic. Off the tee, the first concern is the hidden water hazards. They should be out-of-play for most players, but longer hitter could end up in them if they are not careful.

The vast majority of the fairway here is not flat. There are two landing zones that are relatively flat. The center-left zone around the 150 yard marker is the safest play, but there is another flat landing zone further forward and right. This right-side landing zone provides a much better look at the green, but risks players running out into the water hazards if they are not careful.

By the green the deep pot bunkers are extremely dangerous. Depending on angle and pin location, these can often be taken mostly out of play. The green has two primary ridge line. It will be difficult to putt across the green, but even more so from the left side to the right.
