The Westlock Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course like no other. We offer the challenge of a traditional style back nine with tighter fairways and smaller greens. The front nine presents the opportunity to swing the driver more often, with large undulating greens and wider fairways, but with water being present on 8 of the 9 holes. The Wabash creek winds its way throughout the course, coming into play on 9 of the 18 holes.
We first opened our doors in 1935 as a 7-hole golf course. As time passed the course underwent improvements to become a 9-hole golf course mostly made up of 300 yard par 4’s. The next major renovation took place in 1977. Alan Watt, a local physician with considerable knowledge and understanding of changes happening in the game redesigned the back 9 by building grass greens and lengthening many of the holes. In 1991 we added a second nine that offers the feeling of a more open links style course while preserving the challenge of a traditional style golf course.
The Westlock Golf Club Practice Facilities are among the best in Alberta. We boast a 125 yard wide and 300 yard long two tiered grass driving range; A Chipping/Pitching complex featuring it’s own green with apron and a large sand bunker; And a large two tiered putting green that is consistent with the greens on the course.
The Westlock Golf Club lounge will handle up to 127 people inside, with room for an additional 130 people on the patio.
Westlock Golf Club also boasts a 27 site RV Park right on the course. Relax by the campfire, free wood supplied, and enjoy the stunning course views. Sites also include 30 amp power, water and sewer.
The Wabash creek winds its way throughout the course and combines with three large water hazards to present the threat of getting your feet wet on 16 of the 18 holes.
