Hole 9 Discussion

The 9th is a mid-length par 4 with a dogleg left. Off the tee players primary concern should be reaching the turn, but longer hitters should be able to cut the corner altogether. Playing too short could put one of the coconut trees on the left between the player and the green for the approach.

The approach plays into a extremely elevated tiered green. Being short here will be punished by rolling back down the hill, but being long will lead to a terrifying chip down the hill. Being below the hole is ideal, but it risks rolling back down the hill. Ending up on the same tier as the hole here will be strongly rewarded.

The green is a series of tiers, each sloping down the hill. Correct speed here, and keeping the ball in play, is much more important than aggressive play at the cup.
