Nestled alongside highway 16 in Cashiers, the Wade Hampton Golf Club has been in existence from 1987. Once past the gate in this exclusive club, you will be treated to a full golf experience. The hospitality is great (but, no changing shoes in the parking lot please) and the course is regarded by some in the industry as one of Fazio’s best works. Not much earth was moved in the design and the routing is straightforward. If you want picturesque you’ve come to the right place; all of the holes are outlined with the mountains and rock formations.

It’s all bent grass here - tee boxes too - and the greens provide enough of a challenge without seeming silly due to high speeds. The par-3 holes are outstanding, and the finishing holes on each side are reachable par 5s, which can add some fun to the round. Walking, caddies, or carts are all fine.
