The Course
The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community purchased Lone Pine Country Club in 2002. In 2003, the course was completely remodeled, and then reopened in late summer 2005 as The Meadows at Mystic Lake. The golf course has since drawn numerous prestigious awards and recognitions from Golf Digest, Golfweek, and Midwest Gaming and Travel.
The Architects
Garrett Gill and Paul Miller—formerly teamed together at Gill Miller, Inc.—brought The Meadows at Mystic Lake to life by combining their passion for the game of golf, their masterful skills in golf course architecture, and the expertise they gained from having completed more than 200 golf course projects in 33 states.
Today Garrett Gill is president of Gill Design, Inc., a golf course architecture firm in River Falls, Wisconsin. Gill has been a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) since 1978 and has over 40 years of experience in golf course design.
Golf Course Architect Paul Miller is now President of Paul Miller Design, Inc., a golf course architecture firm located in Northfield, Minnesota. Miller believes that golf and golf course architecture should reflect the excitement of the game of golf and the personalities that are involved.
