Leven is a template hole based on the 7th hole at the Innerleven Links, now the 16th at Lundin Links. The template asks players to make a choice, play toward the hazard off the tee, or play it safe, leaving a challenging, often blind, approach to the green.

This version of the hole has high faced bunkers on the right side of the landing zone. Clearing these leaves a relatively unobstructed approach to the green, but end up in them and even getting out could be difficult.

The safe play left leaves an approach that must carry all the way to the green. A large bunker short sits ready to catch anything that ends up short, and the green contours will push shots that run out toward the right side bunker.
