The sixth hole is a design by J.C. Walsham, of the Harrogate Club. This par five slowly doglegs right. The drive plays left, with an option for players to shorten the distance by playing along the dangerous right edge.
The second shot shot will likely test most players to play over a large dune across the middle of the fairway that obscures the view of the green, but a layup is possible for folks who held back on their drives.
The green is apparently meant to represent a flipped version of the 17th green at St Andrews, but approached from the road. However, the green here is much deeper. There is a deep contour sloping down in the back, bit it has a much more receptive area in the middle-to-front of the green.
