The home hole provides a great opportunity to end the day on a high note. As a short three-shotter it’s a great scoring opportunity, however should the player decide to go for it in two they are faced with an all-carry shot to a small green protected by a ditch and a bunker left and a hill on the right. While the temptation is great, the strategy of laying up, pitching on and lie dead near the hole for a four is quite viable in its own right.
