With a setting so breathtaking it’s almost distracting, Shaughnessy is where natural, west coast beauty meets deceptively challenging, tour-tested golf.
A celebrated landmark exquisitely carved out of the shores of the Fraser River, Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club’s postcard-worthy views, winding fairways beneath towering tree canopies, and picturesque par 3s set the scene for a very special golf experience.
Founded in 1911 as Shaughnessy Heights Golf Club, the course was relocated to its current waterfront home in 1960, renamed Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club, and redesigned by distinguished, Irish-born golf architect, A.V. Macan.
Shaughnessy’s 7045 yard, Par 73 course has played host to numerous professional championships—including four Canadian Opens—where it has unapologetically demanded the respect of competitors.
From tight, undulating greens, to an 18th finishing hole that can make or break your round, the majestic backdrop isn’t the only thing that will take your breath away.
