Hole #6 is a pretty narrow par five. Allister MacKenzie’s house is along this hole. It is the second white house in the fairway, marked by a plaque in the cart path under the magnolia tree, across from the fairway bunker short of the green.
The tee shot is to an uphill fairway, with a fairway bunker on the left side. Note the aiming-bunker short-right to help line up shots from the back tees.
The second shot plays blind or semi-blind (depending on distance), but to a mostly flat section of fairway, with trees on the right and OB on the left. There is a fairway bunker short-right to punish players going for the green without thinking.
Surrounding bunkers aside, the green is fairly welcoming. It mostly slopes back to front, and the fairway short allow for gentile run-ups to the middle. Note, however, that the back left of the green falls directly into a bunker cut into the green, and the back right of the green will run off.
