The 18th is a par 5 with a very strategic second shot. The tee shot is straight forward enough. It once again asks players to flirt with two deep bunkers flanking the fairway. Confidently play long, or stay safe and short.
The second shot, however, plays up to a circuitous landing area. Sand bunkers on the right, and then further up on the left require an accurate distance and well placed shot to get close to the green. Whereas, playing short is safe, but should leave a long shot into the green, which may be semi-blind.
A well placed second should leave a straightforward approach onto the large, square green. Bunkers short-left, right, and long-right again test players accuracy into the green.
The green itself is nuanced, with subtle slopes along most of it. The green should be a test to most players even as they finish their round.
