The second Par 3 is a mid-iron for most golfers and 4 large bunkers guard all wayward shots. The green has several sections divided by a “whale’s back” ridge that will affect all putts. It’s rare to get a flat putt on this large par 3 green.
Balls always go left on this hole and the bunkers are harder on that side. Like #5, bunkers are tough outs so expect at least 1.5 strokes added if you end up in one. It’s a very hard 1 putt if you’re in the wrong section and a challenging 2 putt if your lag putting game isn’t great. Unlike #5 though…this hole plays slightly downwind and so the yardage number is usually spot on.
