The shortest hole on the course can present many challenges as prevailing cross-winds can make it difficult to land the ball on the green. The green is guarded by 4 large sand bunkers, and is so long it can easily be a 1 to 2 club difference, depending on hole location. The green is very subtle and tends to slope down to the water off Hole No. 2. Short hole that can quickly bite.
Hole always plays a club longer than you think and you do need some carry off the tee to get there if you are the kind of golfer who doesn't really get the ball up. To get something to roll onto the green really requires a narrow opening. The play actually is to play the green to its center yardage and then two putt for your par. So many balls have been skulled out of those bunkers that landing in one of them probably adds 1.5 strokes to your likely score at minimum.
