The golf course in Appelscha is located on the edge of the Drents-Friese Wold nature reserve, at Buitenplaats de Hildenberg.

The course has attractive height differences, challenging water features, bunkers and dune-like sand drifts.

Meanwhile, the course - through expansion and renovation - has become a full-fledged 9-hole championship course. Golf course architect Alan Rijks created a good connection to the natural surroundings and the existing course with the expansion.
