Challenging. That term perfectly fits the attractive 27-hole course on approximately 120 acres of unimproved terrain. Located in a wooded area where raptors, swans and ducks, small game, predators and deer have their natural domain. Spicy and challenging because of beautiful doglegs, the water features, no fewer than 113 bunkers and the unpredictable wind.
The course has an A status. The 27 holes are divided into three loops of 9 holes (IJmeer, Gooimeer and Markermeer, all three Par 36). Each loop has a length of over 3,000 yards. The longest hole is Markermeer 2, with a length of 522 yards from the men ‘s back tee.
Golfers wishing to practice can play on a spacious driving range with a largely covered tee, three practice bunkers, two chipping greens and a putting green. Moreover, Golfclub Almeerderhout has a fully-fledged 9-hole Par-3, of which the longest hole is over 150 meters. Nice for the beginner, but also for the advanced player who wants to train his short game.
