The first hole tees off from behind the club house. The hole is long and challenging on it’s own, but if the prevailing headwind is up players will have an extremely difficult shot to the green. The primary concern is the out-of-bounds on the left side (past the racetrack railing), however play to the right side brings in the large bunker short-right. On top of this, the apron is very irregular and fall off on both sides near the green, so there is no easy option to run the ball up to the green.

The green itself is a bit of a punchbowl, and will kick toward the center on most sides.
