Hole 7 is probably the easiest hole on the course (although not the 18 handicap hole). This par 4 is easily drivable for the bigger hitters, since the tips are generally less than 300 yards. The only issue is the large tree in front of the green, so you will need a bit of kindness from the golf gods to get the bounce you need to reach the green. If you’re not confident in driving it, however, there’s nothing wrong with a mid-iron to the 100 stick and then a wedge on. If you miss on this hole, you want to miss big. A big hook puts you on the 2nd fairway, with plenty of room to go over the trees, while a big slice leaves you on the Red Course (the par 3 course) with plenty of room to get over the trees. A slight miss to either side, however, leaves you in the pine trees with a low chance of having a clean look at the green. The green itself slopes sharply from back to front. If you’re at the front of the green putting to a back pin, give it some extra gas because the slope is steeper than it looks. This really should be the easiest par of your day, don’t make it complicated.
UPDATE (March 2023): A new large bunker has been added on the right and a new tee box is being added behind the existing one to make the hole longer and more punishing, or at least give it some defenses.
