Hole 11 Discussion

Hole 11 is a pretty straightforward par 3. Don’t hit it into the bunker in front of the green, and don’t miss long in the weeds. It can play relatively long from the tips, pushing 190 with the tees and the pin both pushed back. The front two-thirds of the green is pretty flat, but the back third slopes sharply, so any ball that lands on the back tier of the green tends to get dumped off the back. It’s better not to be too aggressive going at the back pins for this reason. A clean mid-iron should put you center of the green with a doable two-putt, regardless of the pin placement. It’s not a great birdie opportunity, but it should be an easy enough par. Oh, and beware the back of the tee box, which is not very flat and often results in a lie with the ball slightly above your feet, which will tend to steer your shot toward the cartpath on the left. Hopefully the greenskeeper smiles on you and moves them up a bit.
