Clone is a challenge of slopes. The tee shot plays to a wide landing zone for longer hitters, whereas shorter players need to be wary of the right side fairway bunker. The longest hitters or player running up an approach should concern themselves with a long ditch that cuts thorough the fairway.

The area around the green is steeply sloped and complex. Everything runs down dramatically right-to-left. This is complicated by the narrowness of the green. A good drive to leave a simple approach will be helpful, but anything mishit can end up with a very awkward lie.
