The plan is for the company to build on the 88-acre property multi-family senior housing and warehouses, and turn the 18-hole golf course into a 9-hole executive course while retaining the driving range and banquet facilities.
“We have the property in escrow,” said Timur Tecimer, CEO of Torrance-based Overton Moore. “And we submitted an application to do industrial at the corner of Todd and 10th. Included in the application was some senior living multi-family, so 55-plus multi-family senior living. And there would be a component of affordable. We’ve proposed 15% of the multi-family would be affordable.”
Tecimer said it is a big deal to keep the golf course in the mix.
