Hole 9 Discussion

The tee shot plays do a downward sloping fairway. If the player can run down the hill, they'll won't have a problem, but getting around the corner is the most important aspect of the tee shot. The front of the green runs off, so shots that are even a bit short will not hold.

"The longer you drive it, the easier the hole is. Generally, you want to take the drive as close to the trees on the right as possible. Depending on the conditions, bigger hitters can just blow it over the [left] trees and be hitting a nice wedge in from the flat."

"The second shot is the most important thing. It's a tricky green. You're usually hitting from a downslope to an elevated green, which is never an easy thing. It's a green that is kind of sideways, angled from right to left. Your distance control on your second shot has to be spot-on. If you're on the wrong plateau, you're going to have a treacherous putt. For me, the toughest pin is actually the back-left one, because the plateau is so small."
