Hole 6 Egan is the #2 stroke index on the course, but it’s likely the most challenging with regards to shot control. It plays as a dogleg, likely requiring shape off the tee shot or with the approach.
The tee shot has danger on both sides, a red stake penalty area on the left, and out of bounds on the right. A left-handed draw is the the ideal shot here, and should run out far on the downslope, but most will play a standard fade around the trees on the right.
A long, successful shot will have a straight shot at the green. Large bunkers guarding the front, and a front-to-back slope make a high shot ideal here. Right-handers making an approach from the left side will be challenged to hold the green with a draw.
On the green, pin position on the left side can lead to trouble, as the majority of the slope of the green is on the left.
