The 18th is a par 5 with a slight dogleg right on the second shot. The tee shot plays straight away with a right-side fairway bunker fully in play. Beyond this bunker the fairway narrows sharply with trees on either side.
The longest players here may be able to reach the green in two, but they will need to drive the ball 275m to the left side of the fairway right as it narrows. It's a highly risky shot, but if executed, it should leave a 200m shot downhill into the green.
The vast majority of players will be focused on reaching the landing area below beyond the narrow section of the fairway. The landing zone kicks forward and rightward. Player foolish enough to purely go for distance here bring the second bunker into play, about 170m past the first. Ideally landing safely short of this bunker will leave a short-iron into the green.
The approach is downhill and can be seen in this video from 2014, note that the bunkering has since changed. The downhill lie will complicate a shot that already leaves little to no room for error. The green features bunkers on both sides, and a large, deep bunker in front which eliminates any attempt to run the ball up. Water hazards flank the fairway on both sides which will punish any serious error. The only safe bail out is beyond the green.
