The eighth hole is one of the most unique golf holes on the course. It will be reachable to some, but with massive risk/reward tradeoffs. The distances are measured with the dogleg included, so a shot directly at the green will require a significantly shorter carry (about 30 yards shorter from the black tees).

Attempting to reach the green will require a high right-to-left shot, and much carry a series of trees before moving to the green. The green it this angle is only about 15 yards across, and a section will typically slope dramatically away from the approach angle and could kick the ball right off the green all together. Missing short leaves a large bunker, missing long will put the player below the green in rough. The left side is peppered with bushes.

Standard play leave an extremely sharp dogleg left. It’s important to reach the corner (Black 230, Gold 185 yards), but not enter the far bunker (Black 270, Gold 225 yards).

The approach should be a very short wedge shot (about 70 yards), so short that many players might consider playing their ball right to add a bit of distance.

The green has two distinct tiers, with a steep gradient between them. Playing to the pin here will be rewarded.
