Hole 1 begins with a tee shot over a pond. The fairway starts rather wide before narrowing into a slight rightward dogleg; a miss too far to the left may result in a shot going OB due to the fairway’s slope, while one too far to the right will prevent a direct approach shot towards the green.
The green is guarded on the left by a bunker, and is sloped towards the front left corner. Generally, it’s preferable to putt from below the pin.
