Hole 8 Discussion

Much like the fourth hole, #8 conforms largely to the natural landscape. After a 200-yard tee shot to the base of what can modestly be described as Mt. Vesuvius, enjoy a short iron second shot to a green 30-or-so vertical feet above your head. Bet you wish you paid the extra few bucks for a cart right about now, eh?
What this green lacks in bunkers, it makes up for in slope, as not only does this large oval green slope back to front, it has a large ridge running across the middle, meaning the pin will mostly likely be located toward the rear/top of the green. You’ll want to “keep it in front of you” as a steep slope behind this green means pitching back down onto a green that falls away.
