The 8th tee is the highest teeing ground on the course. The hole doesn’t play long, but positioning off the tee is key. The drive is played to a fairway below that lies just beyond two dunes either side of the start of the fairway.
The approach is then played uphill to a tabletop green perched on a dune. A small pot bunker guards a short-right miss. An approach that doesn’t carry all the way onto the front of the green will tumble down the slope at the front, leaving a blind pitch back up the hill. The green slopes from front to back with a steep bank just beyond the back edge.
