As one of the most open and exposed parts of the course, the Par 3 11th hole can require anything between a short iron to a wood from the tee box. Hitting towards Campbeltown Airport, it is necessary to carry to the slightly raised green which is protected by two pot bunkers to the left and a steep faced trap on the front right edge.
Tee shots only carrying to the front apron are likely to feed into the sand or the first cut of rough, so wind permitting, the strategic play is to carry beyond any pin cut at the front or middle of what is one of the flattest greens on the course.
