Number 8 is a technical par 5 that will play as a double dogleg for most. The tee shot is uphill, and there is a bunker on the left side, 210 yards (from the center of the main tee area). A large group of trees on the right (at 170 yards) forces play to the left, though the longest players could carry these trees.
To reach the green in two, you’ll need a very healthy tee shot that ends up on the right side of the fairway, followed by a drawing approach around the trees that guard the green from view.
To reach in three, the main challenge of the second is to get passed the second dogleg. To make sure you do this, aim to play in front of the large tree just left of the cart path, as there is a direct line to the green from there. The final shot should be a relatively simple wedge in.
The green’s main trouble is the large bunker on the right side. Missing long will also be trouble as ground behind the green slopes down sharply to the 9th fairway.
There is a storm shelter near the tees.
