Hole 15 Discussion

The 15th hole is another hole that plays along an old creek bed. The tee shot plays to a narrowing fairway, with a left-side fairway bunker at a pinch point. The pinch point should be at the ideal distance for longer hitters. Flirting with the fairway bunker, however, will give players a better angle at a right-side pin position. The fairway sits in a valley, so the ball should funnel helpfully.

The approach is defined by a large right-side bunker sitting right up against the green. The bunker will catch any standard, short-right miss, but it also blocks direct access for players running the ball up. There is also a smaller bunker on the left side which could easily lead to disaster if the pin is up against the right edge.

The green is large and complex, it runs off the back-right and center. Players should be able to work the ball into the back-right corner and using the contours in the center.
