The 16th is a long, surprisingly reachable par 5. The hole is mostly downhill, and plays to green tucked between two dangerous hazards. The tee shot is semi-blind, but it isn’t really an issue, as it’s effectively straight away. The ideal shot here is a draw, with as much run out as possible. There are some trees on the right that can interfere with approach, so players trying to reach the green will likely want to be on the left.
Playing in two is a terrifying shot played over the water, or just short-right, trying to kick left onto the green. Playing for the green in three leaves a straightforward second shot either down to the water or played to the right to take advantage of the bit of fairway in the gap.
With good luck, player can score well on this hole, but if things don’t go their way, it can leave a big number.
