Course Description:
The longest hole on the course sets up for a true test of a Par 5 hole. Water awaits any shot that slides to the right of the fairway, with sloping fairways gradually tapering to the water location. It will take 3 well placed shots to reach the green in regulation. The green is bunker free, but that should not comfort the golfer as the green slopes from left to right making it difficult to get the ball in position to score.
When the greens are running fast, it’s very difficult to play enough break on all putts – making this long hole very, very hard to score well.
Player commentary:
Don’t know about the water they speak of here, but right is definitely a penalty if you tend to slice. Hard to reach in 2 unless you really have length. Fairway is not particularly wide at all and slopes gently left to right which can result in a poorly-timed slice into the hazard area that runs along the right side.
Green is surprising bumpy and depending on pin location can even be a tricky 2 putt. If green speeds are running fast then it’s pretty important to leave uphill putts.
