The ninth is a double-dogleg par five finish. Longer hitters can challenge the water off the tee to try and reach the green in two, but more cautious folks with steer rightward off the tee to take the water out of play.
A hero shot over the water here will take a few yards off the hole, but may not bring a reward worth the risk. The cautious player will again keep there ball well to the right of the fairway to avoid the danger.
Most folks approaching the green here likely be using a wedge, and that’s all well and good, considering the cluster of bunkers around the green. Ignore the water on the approach, it’s out of play, and only there to make you nervous.
