The first hole at Fleming is a dogleg left. Reaching the dogleg will definitely not require a driver for most. Trying to get around the dogleg can be quite challenging off the tee. After the turn, the fairway narrows significantly, and trees overhang the right side of the fairway.

The approach is narrow. The green is guarded on the left side by a bunker, and generally most shots will kick rightward short of the green. Missing long can be a serious error as the green slopes back left to front right.
