Uh oh Hole #9 is very reachable, but the abounding bunkers can discourage med-long drivers from going for it. So you’ve got a risk/reward game to play; If you do go for it, you pretty much have to hit it… On the right, a treeline separates the 9th fairway from the 1st and it can get messy if you land over there. The treeline on the left presents even more problems. A drive that doesn’t quite reach will almost certainly take a trip to the beach.

The design dramatically encourages a lay up. If you hit it 150yds from the tees you’ll be about 100yds out with a much easier shot to avoid the bunkers. Buuuut what’s the fun in that!?
