Barrel is a remarkably challenging par 4 so late in the round. The tee shot is best carried as long as possible, as the approach will be challenging for the best players, if not unrealistic for many. Assuming the player gets past the fairway bunker, they will still have a very long shot into a narrow green, guarded on three sides by bunkers, trees, and a creek.
The green itself is not an easy two putt. There are three distinct tiers that aren’t easy to putt between. Players here should be very happy with a par, and most will do best to simply play for bogey.
