The first hole is a straight forward par 4. There is out-of-bounds on the left side, which is an active train line. The ideal play is straight away. The ground undulates and will push most shots to the right a bit here, so holding the fairway is the goal. There are two trees that can affect the tee shot.

The approach may be slightly uphill, but the green has no bunkers, and is relatively welcoming.
